While in the UK on extended "pub crawl" from Canada, stumbled across this roadside hut and stopped for a bacon sarnie. Absolutely delightful proprietor full of chat and local info while cooking up four slices of bacon; had it in a massive chunk of french bread and could barely finish it. Price was incredibly cheap compared to everywhere else we went. I'm back in UK again in a few weeks and I'm trying to figure our how I can do a 2 hour detour to get to Amanda's again and share this experience with two other mates. Amazing!

A great find this! Decent grub well priced. I had a 1/2 pounder with bacon for £7, that’s not bad for today’s world.

You could hardly ask for a better road side pit stop. As others have said, the quality of the food is exceptional. And Amanda's enthusiasm is uplifting and great fun to be around. All credit for this contribution to roadside eating, and moreso for being there for 21 years! You'll get much better value for money here than anywhere else locally. Highly recommended for food on the go.
